Office Renovation

Project: Office Renovation, 2,500 square feet.
Originally a windowless, rabbit warren of small enclosed offices on a second floor above retail shops, this dark and dreary space was gutted and opened up to create a visually clean, airy environment featuring a dramatic skylight in the Reception area. Clerestory windows in each perimeter office transfer additional light from their own newly installed windows. The space also incorporated eight corporate offices, conference room and kitchen facilities. Each of the offices and the conference room required custom white oak work surfaces built to the specifications of the owners. Wall surfaces featured tambour wood panels to sheath angled walls and wrap around structural columns. In keeping with a minimalist design aesthetic, custom Amish quilts from the region were simply framed and/or hung throughout the offices.
